Plenty of celebrations throughout the month, and for those wondering, yes the Farmers Market returns this month!

Celebrations
Cooler Communities Fair: Saturday, May 31 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Fuller Middle School. FPS students show their projects on climate change, energy efficiency, and related sustainability issues. Energize Framingham and the Sustainability Committee will be on hand to share ideas and resources. Mass Energize will be giving tours of the Eversource Geothermal Pilot Project.
7th Annual Progress Pride Flag Raising Ceremony: Sunday, June 1 at 2:00pm. After the flag raising, continue the celebration with a block party, “OUT on the Block,” from 3:00pm to 6:00pm behind the Memorial Building, organized in collaboration with OUT MetroWest. Party features food trucks, live DJ, and two dozen vendors. Both events are rain or shine. Free event.
Bay State Motor Festival: Sunday, June 8 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Cushing Memorial Park. Celebrate Framingham’s automobile history! The free event features over 150 vehicles, including the Bay State model car, Chevys, Oldsmobiles, Buicks and Pontiacs made in Framingham.
Second Friday at the Mill Contemporary Art: Friday, June 13 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Saxonville Mills, 2 Central Street Ste 153 & 152. Come to the Project B Gallery for a reception for a new art exhibit every month, and visit artist studios to see what they are working on, and discuss their techniques. We have painters, sculptors, photographers, multimedia artists, stained glass artists, fiber artists, ceramicists, printmakers, video artists, woodworkers, and more.
Sally's Night Celebration: Friday, June 13, 2025 from 6:30pm - 9:30pm at the Christa McAuliffe Center at FSU (100 State Street) 2025 marks the 42nd anniversary of Sally Ride’s historic STS-7 mission and becoming the first American woman in space. To honor her and this special anniversary, we are joining the initiative started by the National Air and Space Museum and executed by fellow Smithsonian Affiliates across the country to host an evening filled with FREE fun for learners of all ages! Flag Day Parade: Saturday, June 14. Join us as we commemorate and celebrate the adoption of the United States Flag. This honored tradition will begin with a procession around Cushing Memorial Park at 10:00am and will be followed by a ceremony in front of the Veterans Memorial.
Farmers Market Opening Day: New season kicks off on Thursday, June 19 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Framingham Centre Common.
Juneteenth Celebration: Thursday, June 19 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm Details TBD.
Art & the Family Archive “The Pearl Unseen: Stories from Haiti”: Saturday, June 21 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Artist and poet Nicolas Hyacinthe comes to the Framingham History Centre exploring memory, identity, and belonging through visual storytelling. Click here to buy tickets.
Framingham Incorporation Day Ceremony: Wednesday, June 25. Details TBD.
Stars & Stripes Over Framingham: Friday, June 27 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at Farm Pond Park. Celebrate our nation’s birthday with fireworks, food trucks and music.
Community Matters
Election 2025 Nomination Papers Available: Election season officially begins on Friday, May 30, when candidates can pull nomination papers from the City Clerk's office. On the ballot in November is Mayor, 9 District City Councilors, 9 District School Committee members, 6 Library Trustees, and three Cemetery Trustees seats. The District races are for two years. The other seats are for four years. Also on the November ballot will be proposed changes to the City Charter which began on January 1, 2018. To learn more, visit the Clerk’s website.

National Trails Day: Saturday, June 7 from 9:00am - 1:00pm Join Parks & Rec in helping local trails. Learn how to identify invasive species, enjoy a nice walk while cleaning up trails, enter a raffle for a chance to win a surprise gift from our sponsors, and more. Location TBD.
Framingham Business Association Monthly Meeting: Wednesday, June 11, 12:00 - 1:00pm at La Cantina (911 Waverly Street) Come hear from the Economic Development Corporation. They’ll be discussing their work and exciting plans for Framingham’s business future! This will be a great conversation. Lunch is served. The Framingham Business Association (FBA) is committed to promoting and supporting our local small businesses in Framingham. Repair Cafe: Sunday, June 22 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at Scott Hall, 24 Vernon Street. Bring your items that need repair, and knowledgeable volunteers will help you try to fix them.The Repair Cafe is an all-volunteer project, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Framingham with support from Transition Framingham. Coburnville Tripoli Neighborhood Association June Meeting: Saturday, June 21 at 9:30am at Anna Murphy Park. All neighbors are welcome! Monthly meeting features neighborhood updates, police updates, planning upcoming events, and socializing with neighbors.
Sports and Recreation
Family Track Meets: Every Wednesday at 5:30pm Bowditch Field Sponsored by the Greater Framingham Track Club The primary goal is for all athletes to have fun while acquiring or perfecting their running skills. Winning is not everything. Good sportsmanship is a must. Registration opens at 5:30pm and events will begin at 6:00pm. Registration Fee is $1.00 per week. A season pass may be purchased for $8.00 the first or second week.
Bachata by the Bookmobile: Wednesday, June 11 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Academy Building at Cushing Memorial Park (80 Dudley Road) This summer join us for Bachata by the Bookmobile with J&L Dance Studio! Our instructors Jenna and Luis will provide one hour of Bachata instruction followed by a half hour of social dance and refreshments. All are welcome to join regardless of dance ability!
City Beaches Opening Day: Thursday, June 19. Framingham Beaches are free and open to Framingham Residents only. Resident ID, showing a Framingham address, will be required for admittance. One Resident ID will be required per family unit* (maximum of 6 people from the same family unit) and must be presented upon arrival at the beach. Resident ID must be shown for each beach visit. Beach Locations: Learneds Pond at Shawmut Terrace, Saxonville Beach at Lake Road and Lake Waushakum at Nipmuc Terrace.
